Performance Analysis And Optimization Of VoLTE

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is an IP data transmission technology, which bears all services on4G networks, enable unified data and voice services in the same network. VoLTE technology provides users with lower access latency, higher quality, more natural audio and video quality. Therefore, the voice solutions of LTE are very important both for operators to improve the wireless spectrum utilization, reduce network costs and the improvement of user experience. Promote the development of VoLTE, which means open the door to the evolution of mobile broadband voice technology.In this paper, the performance of VoLTE voice services is deeply analysised and studied, conducted VoLTE business voice service quality test and quality analysis, assessed the quality of new VoLTE wireless capabilities and validation of voice coverage, investigated whether the existed planning indicators meet the voice service coverage requirements or not, and researched the optimization methods of LTE wireless network.It first briefly introduced the development of VoLTE and the current available LTE voice service solutions to clarify the significance of the topic, Elaborated the technical principles of VoLTE and the classification and definition of VoLTE KPI, then studied the wireless performance test environment,comleted the basic configuration of network parameters, worked out performance test cases, tested various outfield scenarios of the current4G network, Studied wireless performance of VoLTE services in voice quality, network coverage, capacity and resource utilization rate etc.This paper focused on the study of multi-scene VoLTE wireless network quality, the relevance of VoLTE service quality with the quality of wireless network, switching performance of eSRVCC, quality of multi-user,and the quality comparation with OTT voice.verified the quality of VoLTE voice under real network environment, assessed whether the real network based on data service planning can meet the coverage of different voice services or not, at last,discussed the existing network optimization methods from the aspects of coverage, interference, system parameters and handover.Analysis and Optimization of VoLTE wireless performance is the commission project of China Mobile Communications corporation, during the process of performance test, the service provider and the device functioned normally, the statistical analysis of test results also satisfied the requirements of relevant indicators of VoLTE. Accumulated rich experience for CMCC to depoy the commercial converged communications services which includes VoLTE,and provided theoretical basis for the optimization of VoLTE.
