Design And Principles For Auto Drive Test System On Wireless Network Quality Optimization

Mobile communication technology has become more and more deeply into our business activities and daily life, and it has become a pillar industry of our national economy. The end users of mobile communication network evaluate the quality of service by using a terminal business, by which users could try various communication services. So, optimizing mobile network, improving the level of network service, improving the quality of service, improving the efficiency of radio spectrum, has become an important topic for the development of mobile communication network.Drive test, facing user directly, feeling current network quality directly, by analyzing the collected information from drive test, we can formulate the effective solution to improve the network quality. ADTS (Automatic Drive Test System) sets the wireless signal unit for vehicle automatic test and evaluation of speech quality, test scheme for remote customization, remote real-time monitoring for massive data and statistical analysis for the integration of wireless communication network automatic test system. ADTS could evaluate the quality of network voice and data service, and could be a daily, weekly or monthly basis, check the network quality, develop the network optimization to improve the network quality, reduce the opportunity of user transferring to other operators, to attract more new customers and increase profitability. The automatic drive test platform, also could refinedly carry out wireless network quality evaluation and analysis, realize24hours non-stop quality control for wireless network, greatly improve the efficiency of drive test, the test cost is reduced by over70%, to effectively solve the problems of large investment and complex process, provide reliable data for network optimization work. ADTS is China Mobile’s proposed" three platforms four systems" construction projects, is a major breakthrough for the existing artificial test technology, and will be the technical revolution of mobile communication network operation and optimization.This paper introduces the basic principle and method of drive test, analyzes the significance of drive test for mobile network optimization, and then put forward the necessity of automatic drive test system replacing manual drive test system; and focused on the requirements and design scheme for this ADTS, and introduces the characteristics of the system function.
