With the rapid development of mobile data services, and traffic on wireless network surged, but also a significant increase in the bandwidth, in meet rising demand for "big data" traffic, most operators have begun to promote the development of4G broadband wireless communications technology, mobile operators are actively building LTE networks, especially with existing2G,3G network systems coexist environment, the complexity of the wireless environment will also increase, LTE network optimization will face a great challenge. For this, this paper is mainly about LTE wireless network optimization, this paper relies on a particular advisory institute’s LTE network testing and network optimization project, the main work and achievements are shown as follows:1. In depth understanding of the basic principles on the basis of LTE, the paper analyzes and compares the similarities and differences between LTE and WCDMA networks, including key technology, network architecture, network performance, and other factors, the analysis found the differences between LTE and WCDMA network optimization, LTE is more strict requirements for interference control.2. The analysis and comparison of the similarities and differences between LTE and GSM networks, the analysis found that the GSM overlapping coverage, which use the one-dimensional, is difficult to reflect the performance of the LTE network, LTE not only follow the number of interference cell, but also need to focus on inter-cell interference signal strength. This paper presents the LTE network evaluation method; it’s two-dimensional about overlapping coverage and overlapping coverage intensity. It can effectively evaluate LTE network architecture issues, rapid screening of overlapping coverage problem areas, it’s effective.3. This paper deeply studied about overlapping coverage and multiple adjacent areas interference, analysis of the overlapping coverage through theoretical analysis and simulation data, the impact of PCI mode3interference, multi adjacent interference on network performance problems, find out the key factors that influence the interference of LTE network.4. One method is presented in this paper to solve the overlapping coverage interference optimization in LTE network structure, solutions about PCI issues and overlapping coverage and interference problems. The proposed scheme implementation in the pilot shows that the scheme can effectively improve network quality.
