The human race has entered a mass information age, the success of economic led to the common prosperity in all ther fields of society, scientific, educational, and cultural change rapidly, which promote the rapid development of the communication field, communication technology in recent years improved a lot, various forms of network appeared, different types of subnet have a variety of network interface and transmission line forms. In one hand, this phenomenon reflects the prosperity of the communication business, it also brings the problem about the coexistence and exchange between the heterogeneous networks, the birth of link switch solves this problem successfully. This paper is design and implement the link switch hardware module based on CPC1platform.This paper analyzed and compared the famous hardware switch board solutions,bus platform, high-speed serial bus protocol, determined to combine FPGA architecture-centric, CPCI bus platform and Aurora high-speed serial bus protocol as the hardware module design.Hardware board design includes schematic design and PCB circuit board design, the paper completed the link interface and switching backplane board schematic design, and analyzed the high-speed hardware board signal integrity problems in detail, completed the layered design, layout, wiring and other steps. In contrast to the traditional ways, in front of PCB system board, paper used pre-simulation approach to test the critical signals, so completed the PCB design of link interface board and switching backplane more accurate and efficient.This paper advanced and tested a new port-based priority schedule algorithms of exchange and system, which was implemented in hardware, in contrast to software approach, this algorithms was simple, also had low latency. Compared with other round robin algorithm which were implemented in hardware, this design is more simplified and better fairness. Finally, the paper tested the transmission performance of the link switch hardware module through the network tester, which verify the correctness of the hardware module.
