Business process management (BPM) is a set of integrated comprehensivemanagement model to achieve a variety of business link. With the continuousdevelopment of business process management and technology, business processmanagement system has been widely applied in all walks of life. At present, theBPM system market is developing rapidly throughout the world, in order to copewith the rapid development of the business requirements and the fierce marketcompetition, Metastorm Group put forward to extend the function of BPM system.This paper studied the function extension on directory tree generation functionand monitoring function.On the study of directory tree function extension, through fully studyexisting directory tree generation algorithm, found the influence on the root causeof the directory tree generating speed. In the process of constructing directorytree, use the method of child nodes to find father nodes to avoid the lost of timefor repeatedly reading nodes from database. Applied search the ideas of the Hashto the process of looking up directory tree node, improved the searchingefficiency of nodes and create a directory tree in memory. By analyzing thealgorithm complexity and the comparison of experimental data, fully proved thehigh efficiency of this algorithm.On the study of monitoring function expansion, by studying the interactioncharacteristics across the enterprise business process, found the difficulties inmonitoring functions, and proposed the transformation mechanism betweenchoreography and orchestration based on the role. First of all, it choreographs thecontent according to the rules to map each role. Then, each role sets their owncompilation specification arranged according to the rules. Constructed businessprocess monitoring model across enterprises based on Web services choreographylanguage, this model is used to store and display the ideal path of global interaction. The network packet monitoring technology was used to acquire thedynamic interaction information between the services. By analyzing andreorganizing the information to matching the monitoring model, then, realize thevalidity of the process validation. At last, combined with concrete example,displayed the realization of the monitoring function in BPM system.Through the study of the above two aspects function extension andimplementation, the functional integrity of Metastorm BPM system is improved,which realized the improvement of the BPM system.
