Design And Implementation Of Dalian University Of Technology Campus Network Operations Management System

In recent years, with the rapid development of information construction of the campus network, campus network users are increasing rapidly. It brings great pressure to the campus network bandwidth, and campus network bandwidth continues to increase. Meanwhile, users requires are increasingly high on the campus network services. The original services are constantly updated and new services are constantly on line, which not only increases the maintenance cost of campus network services, but also put forward higher requirements on service management. Therefore, a rational and effective operations management system is needed.All colleges and universities usually have their own operations management system. A rational and effective operations management system could improve the operations accuracy. Through reasonable fees, it could optimize the allocation of resources of campus network, improve the quality of campus network management services, reduce the campus network construction and maintenance costs, and promote the development of the campus network. Currently, the design and implementation of campus network operations management systems varied, so we should consider the reality of the campus network, and design it based on the analysis of the requirements. Such a campus network operations management system is realistic, reasonable and effective.Based on the above discussions, the paper analyzes Dalian University of Technology campus network in detail, and then, combined with the current status of the campus network operations management system, the needs of the campus network on the operations management system are analyzed comprehensively. We design and implement the campus network operations management system for Dalian University of Technology. The main parts of this paper include:(1) Combined with the current status of Dalian University of Technology campus network, we carry out a detailed analysis on the demands of the campus network operations management system. According to the practical applications and business conditions, the function will be divided into two parts:the operations subsystem and user self-management subsystem. Data needs and performance requirements of the system are analyzed in detail. The demands of the whole system are made clear, which lay the foundation for the design and development of the system. (2) Based on the analysis of the demands, the database, system functions, system interface of the operations management system are designed in detail, including the database structure design, backup and recovery strategy, every module functions and business procedures.(3) Guided by the detailed design of the system and according to the campus network hardware and software conditions, a campus network operations management system is implemented. The implements of functions are introduced in detail through some examples.(4) Finally, the function and performance of operations management system is tested comprehensively. The results show that the system meets the needs of the campus network on the operations management system, and achieve the desired goals.
