Equality And Effectiveness In State-run Vietnamese Television:"Advancing Vietnam Women"

The News channel of the Vietnam Televison Station,VTV1,was officially aires on September7,1970, providing a wide range of information through various programming, including political, economic, cultural and social. VTV1’s morning news, broadcasting at5:30every day, is now second only to Japan, the world’s first morning television news broadcast (NHK’s Good Morning Japan, every Monday to Friday morning at four o’clock, is currently the world’s first morning TV news broadcast). After40years of development in the era of globalization, VTV1has begun to formally develop a more diverse range of social projects, especially regarding pressing issues in society.Gender equality programm has begun its roots in1998in Vietnam.. VTV1has launched a variety of high-quality gender equality programms, such as:"Advancing Vietnamese Women","New Life","Women and Life","A Woman Build a Happy Family", and " Culture and Society."In this paper, I use questionnaire study method to get a common conclusion from467valid questionnaires. Among all the programs about gender equality this paper will focus on the show "Advancing Vietnam Women"."Advancing Vietnam women" is an academic gender equality promotion program which is very popular among Vietnamese. This paper tells the design and develop progress of the programm.As well as analyzes the words content of the programm, this paper also studies the spreading effect of the programm, at the same time, it indicates the merit and demerit of "Advancing Vietnam Women", and gives some advices for the development of the programm.
