With the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure, manufacturingautomation level gradually increases. According to the result of research,the most designof mechanical products are improved and innovated on the basis of the existing designknowledge. The knowledge reuse technique ensure maximize of the design resourceutilization by reusing the design knowledge. In this paper, the knowledge reuse techniqueis applied to design of the truss manipulator, which improves efficieny of product design.The transformation between customer requirements and function design areresearched. The style of product requirement information and the process of requirementinformation analysis are introduced. By establishing the matter element model,therequirement information is expressed rationally. By combining the function analysissystem technique with quality QFD, the transformation between customer requirementinformation and product function design is realized, the mission of product design analysisphase is completed.In this paper, the multistage case decomposition technique is researched. With theguidance of functional system analysis thought, the basic elements of case decompositionand methods of case decomposition are also researched. The subspace algorithm is used toclassify the cases. The composition and the internal contact of case library are analyzed. Atthe same time, by researching the process of case matching and the method of correlationcalculating, the design scheme of product is generated.Finally, the truss manipulator design scheme is taken as an example to research. Byusing the methods mentioned above, the transformation from customer requirements tofunctional structure parameters is completed. As the result, the optimal design scheme isgenerated on the basis of the existing design. The feasibility and practicability ofknowledge reuse technology are demonstrated.
