As the rapid development of power electronics technology, on the one hand to bring the convenience of application and the power of transformation, on the other hand also to give the power system bring more severe power quality problems, such as harmonic pollution, reactive problem, voltage fluctuations and unbalance. With its superior performance of Compensation, Active Power Filter has become one of the hot areas of research in power electronics.Compared with the traditional passive filter, active power filter has good dynamic response characteristics, filter characteristics rising superior to system impedance. The APF of the harmonic current compensation method directly determined the effect of harmonic compensation of track is the key of the harmonic compensation characteristics. This paper focuses on the harmonic current compensation.This article firstly described the principle of active power filter, classification and topology and active power filter working principle and the design of the main circuit parameters. Among the many active filter harmonic and reactive current detection algorithm, based on the three-phase instantaneous reactive power theory most widely used. And specify the algorithm based on p-q algorithm and ip-iq algorithm, simulate the harmonic detection algorithms for harmonic detection used p-q and ip-iq algorithm.This article describes some common harmonic compensation methods, including comparing the instantaneous value and the triangular wave control method. Active power filter harmonic compensation control method is the core part of the APF, as it directly determines the active power filter compensation performance. Comparison of the instantaneous value with higher switching frequency, loss is relatively large; the triangular wave comparison control methods has the more complicated hardware and contain triangular wave carrier the same frequency harmonics. Harmonic compensation in active power filters control method, using SVPWM control. We described SVPWM control method and the basic principle of SVPWM control algorithm and control in active power filter implementation in detail.Finally, we use MATLAB7.0to establish the three-phase three-wire structures active power filter simulation model, the instantaneous value of active power filter control comparison, triangle wave comparison control and simulation of the space vector control method, and compared and analyzed the simulation results. Space vector control method is proved in the switching frequency lower than the hysteresis control, triangle wave comparison control of the situation, harmonic compensation can also be effective to ensure instantaneity and accuracy of the results proved the feasibility of the compensation method.
