With the rapid development of science and technology, power electronic devices used inindustrial applications becomes more and more widely. It makes increasing harmonicpollution in power system for the nonlinear characteristics of electronic equipment. Therefore,power system purification has become very important. It will also serve as a forward directionof electric power research. Active power filter is a novel power electronic device for dynamicharmonic suppression. It can compensate the harmonic of change size and change frequency.Its application can overcome the disadvantages of traditional passive filter in harmonicsuppression.After analyzed and compared the existing active power filters, the paper adoptsthree-phase three-wire shunt APF as the research object. Analyze the basic principle and itstopology structure of the filters and get the comparison between several common harmonicdetecting methods. Through in-depth analysis of the traditional ip-iqmethod based oninstantaneous reactive power theory, the paper adopts improved ip-iqmethod to establishmathematical model of APF. In addition, the harmonic current tracking control is also animportant part of active power filter. The paper determine deadbeat SVPWM method as thecompensating current control method based on the analysis and comparison of severalcommon methods of compensating current control. Analyze the generating principle andalgorithm implementation of SVPWM as well as the generating principle and Control method.The paper adopts closed-loop control to control DC-side voltage stability effectively.Through the simulation of active power filter model based on Matlab software, thesimulation results show that improved ip-iqmethod and deadbeat SVPWM method can geteffective compensation to active power filter. Analysis the experimental data and simulationwaveform based on the simulation. The paper adopts TM320F2407A type of Digital SignalProcessing as the core hardware control of active power filters and complete software designand hardware circuit design. Research and verify the harmonic detecting method and currentcontrol strategy on the basis of experiment. The results of experiment confirm that thismethod is very effective.
