Firstly, this paper introduces some thing about harmonic,such as:the basic concepts,the generation,the hazard,the necessary to reach and so on.Then it analyses the present stage of APF and the development trend at home and abroad. Then compared the advantages and disadvantages of the APF and passive filter, propose a novel parallel HAPF, it lowers the cost of the compensation system harmonics, makes compensation also achieve a good result.For the purpose of focusing on the study of the parallel hybrid active power filter system The key technology is harmonic and reactive current compensation for current detection and control. Real-time and accurately detected harmonic is a prerequisite for accurate APF. This paper analyses ip-iq harmonic current detection method based on the instantaneous reactive powe.The paper proposes a controller based on the frequency hysteresis SVPWM to compensate the currents. By analyzing and studying the working principle and compensation characteristics, we can see that it enhances the APF's current response rate, switch stress and reduce the power loss, the current control is an optimization program.Finally, in order to verify the correctness of APF control, and to enhance their awareness and understanding of the control law. The use of the power system module SimPowerSystem Blockset to study the simulation. Simulation results show that the improved load current control methods can effectively filter the vast majority of harmonics, reduce the switching frequency and improve the overall performance of the APF.
