Along with the development of information technology,3G communicationsbusiness, especially in IP data and image transmission, is growing rapidly and thecharacteristics of dynamic data business put forward some new requirements. Thesetwo factors make promoting IP bearer technology become immediately. According to therapid growth of the mobile business and the requirements that local network evolutionto multi-business bearing and transfer target architecture, YunNan Unicom introducedtechnology of Packet Transport Network (PTN) in the construction of local transport networkproject in recent years.This paper briefly introduces the background of whole business unified IPbearing technology, and then, analyzes its development trend. At the same time, inorder to better guide the construction of local PTN network, and solve a series ofkey problem, such as construction of pipeline and cable, application of technologyof PTN, the relationship between PTN and MSTP technology.In this paper, local transport network planning and construction principle areemphasized, which purpose is to make recent network construction and equipmentspecified requirements coordinate with medium or long term network planning andtechnology development, and to guarantee the smooth, healthy evolution of localtransport network. So that multi-business bearing technology can provide a safe andreliable transport platform for various business.
