How to provide readers with the user toprovide convenient and efficient service, how to improve the utilization rate of thelibrary, how to scientifically manage the library becomes more and more important.The Library Online Public Access Catalogue the query system (OPAC), using theB/S architecture, using WindovServer2003+IIS6.0+ASP.NET as the systemdevelopment platform, using SQLServer2005as the background database, usingVisualStudio2008as the front-end development tool ASP.NET. The Library OnlinePublic Access Catalogue query system mainly includes "Bibliographic Retrieval" and"Browse","navigation","new book notification","public relations","information","the reader recommendation","my library" query services, through the systemplatform, the literature information resource limit readers can not subject to time andspace query the library anywhere. The design part of the system introduces mainly thedesign of function, database system function module; the system realization part islisted the main window function modules after.In this paper, through the analysis of the Library Online Public Access Cataloguequery system (OPAC) background, development process and the development trendof development, expounds the significance of development of the system. Thencarries on the demand analysis to the system, constructed the system database.Analysis of the relationship between the administrators and readers, resource, servicesystem, a detailed analysis of the description of the functional modules of the systemmain function diagram and use case diagram with the form of key technology of thesystem to be used are introduced in detail. This article has carried on the summary tothe system design and development work of the system, explained the workingdirection and train of thought of system further development.
