As a traditional fixed network operator, and with the background ofdeclining its landline business, China Telecom switches its focus onexploring broadband business as the key strategy to reinforce itsexisting competitiveness in landline, and the backbone of the operationfrom the whole company s point of view. In long term, copper based cordstraditional network will no longer be capable to assist the bloomingservices, for example, iTV, high-definition video streaming, etc.Therefore, projects that focus on FTTH (Fiber to The Home),fiberlized-metro network, and ultimate access will make sure that ChinaTelecom will be still a business leader in the industry.Beginning with the architecture of PON,it analyzes the problems onthe application of traditional user optical network construction solutionto FTTH based on PON.Around the aspects of topology,optical cablecross-connection and wiring mode,it gives improving mode,discusses theuser optical construction solution adapted to FTTH.
