In2004, the3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) starts the Long Term Evolution of UMTS (LTE), LTE enhanced the radio access of3G to improve the peak data rate and cell capacity. But it didn’t take the rapid increasement of local service into consideration, we can introduce a hybrid cellular and Device-to-Device (D2D) network to improve the spectrum utilities and enlarge cell capacity by helping the close User Equipments(UE) to communicate by reusing the cellular resource.Based on a project of developing a platform to verify the feasibility of hybrid cellular and D2D network, this paper has considered the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) blind detection algorithm of both the cellular UE and D2D UE, and proposed a feasible solution, then implemented it on the Inter General Processer(GPP).Firstly, this paper gives a simple introduction to TD-LTE downlink physical channels and D2D communication model. Secondly it introduces the roles that PDCCH has played in these two different communication schemes as well as its data processing flow. Thirdly, the paper introduces the development environment of this project. Based on them, a blind detection algorithm for cellular UE is proposed, then the paper analyses the difference between cellular UE and D2D UE PDCCH blind detection, and comes up with a method to judge the Downlink Control Information (DCI) format and aggregation level of DCI by Viterbi path metric dominance, without knowing the UE’s RNTI. After that, we implement these two algorithms on an Intel GPP, and optimized the performance by parallel processing to guarantee the real-time signal processing.
