With the continuous development of the network, network-based AIS information system is also applied more widely. In the network environment, a large number of AIS data can be stored on different servers, using distributed storage approach to data access. How to use these data to analyze the ship and the port to provide more services to the shipping and port management practitioners to promote port efficiency is a new research direction. The purpose of this study is to establish a database by applying data warehouse and data analysis techniques based on mass AIS information to achieve port monitoring and analysis system. Its significance lies in the provision of port berths type information for port authorities, shipping companies and other related personnel personal fleet, vessel arrival information, statistical information and analysis of the ship at anchor mooring analysis of statistical information, and how to find this information in accordance with the law, and thus able to develop scheduling strategies, navigation assessment for the port company to provide a strong support. In this paper, the main achievement of the design and implementation of port-based AIS monitoring requirements analysis and system. Completed a ship handling information query function and statistical analysis functions such as port berth, specifically including the following:(1) Based on the port AIS monitoring system needs analysis;(2) AIS information database design, critical databases and data warehouse technology; (3) the type of distribution port berths, ship anchoring table design, ship mooring table design;(4) port surveillance system design and environment configuration;(5) Port Monitoring and Analysis System.
