The developments of most ports in our country fall behind in recent years. Information process is still at an early stage. It just serves managers, and still can not sever the workers of field. Workers just record the operations faults and conditions of equipments by hand only, production data can not be reused and shared anymore. The time of equipments repaired when failure occurs is very important to the port running, so how to monitor equipments' conditions and inform the relevant personnel has become a very important problem.Based on the existing coal loading and unloading control systems and other resources, the main task of this article is to set up a network system to monitor the running of equipments, to record and migrate all the production data of the whole control system real time. The historical data of production are used to evaluate equipments' conditions and decision-making and plan of production for managers. This paper expounds the methods via network in three respects, i.e. data collection, data transmission and data application.The thesis analyses the auto-control systems of a port and their shortcomings in Chapter One at first, then introduces the composition and key technology of monitoring system that based on network, and then puts forward the tasks and goals of this thesis.Chapter Two introduces the existing network system structure of HuaNeng Nantong power plant, then realizes the interconnection of industrial networks and information networks, sets up a network monitoring systems.Chapter Three carries out the collecting and handling the network based monitoring data, discusses how to collect and migrate the data from industrial network to the Relational Database of information network. This part mainly solves data collection and data transmission problems.Collection and migration of data is for use, Chapter Four discussed network based application of monitoring data collected. This chapter focuses on the application and analysis of real- time data, historical data and other data mainly, and provides the instances of applications.Security is a very important respect of systems running. We discusses systematic security and relevant content of authority management in Chapter Five. A conclusion of my work is the end of this thesis.The applications of my article are an expansion and extent to the traditional distribution control system in the way of TCP/IP network. The work provides support and safeguard for data reuse and enhances the efficiency of the system.
