With the worldwide Energy crisis, the decreasing of fossil fuel reserves and the risingenergy costs, people began to look to renewable and clean energy. In this context, windenergy and solar energy as their huge development potential have become the most importantway to solve the problem of energy and environment is the important direction in the field ofenergy to research. Wind and solar power have obvious complementarities on both time andgeographical distribution. So they are very suitable to develop and utilize as a coalitioncomplementary system.This article has the small wind solar hybrid system as the research object. Making aSmall simulation experiment platform in the laboratory, based on the further study of itsworking principle and characteristics, design a remote control system with RTU and GPRScommunication technology. On the basis of the existing wind solar hybrid system accordingto the requirement of the application the system structure is optimized, by adding remotecontrol system make it has higher practicability, so it can be developed into a smalldistributed energy system.Firstly the article introduces the background of the topic significance and the basicprinciple of wind power and photovoltaic power generation. The article introduces the overallstructure of the wind solar hybrid system and the system hardware selection and the workingprinciple of each component. Expounds the maximum power point tracking and load powertracking control method and gives the system control strategy, joined the emergency planswith load classification and introduction of grid. Finally introduces the hardware and softwaredesign of remote control system based on GPRS communication technology.In the process of the design of the remote control system, mainly to complete thesoftware and hardware design of the GPRS wireless communication module, and PC energymanagement system. Physical experiment and simulation research are used to verify thedesign of the system.
