Customer demand and its conversion to actual product functions remain key factors ofsuccessful development, asis the case of mobile Internet product design. Sinceeach mobileInternet products provides services different from others’, from the users’ point of view, a certainproduct is designed for the purpose of some certain customer demands. As a result, it is how toacquire user demand and transform it to actual functions in mobile Internet products that lies amajor issue for this project to study.Having summarized various methods with which demand is transformed into productattributes in physical and Internet product design from home and abroad, this paper puts forwarda three-step method for such conversion based on current situation researches: seeking userdemands from user potential motivation; analyzing user demands and determining detailedfunctions by creating personas and scenarios; transforming product function to detailed designby using improved spiral transformation model. In closing, middle-aged and elderly mobilemusic application design is taken as an example to verify the aforesaid three steps.
