In recent years with the rapid development of4C technology, the traditionalindustrial have a profound change in the structure of the information system. The mostobvious feature is that the centralized control system from the past to the currentdevelopment of mature distributed control system based on fieldbus technology. Incontrast, however, the domestic small and medium manufacturing enterprises whoseinformation level is still at a low level. One reason is its proprietary process controlsystem investment cost is relatively high, the subsequent maintenance of the enterpriseis also a problem, the second is a proprietary process control system for small andmedium enterprises face a single acquisition parameters specific to a certain extentpresent on the opposite waste of resources. These two problems caused by an obstaclefor SMEs in the information process. Therefore, the development of a practical,reliable, low-cost smart transmission system has a very important significance forSMEs to enhance information management level.In the vast majority of industrial field information management system, the mainproblem facing the collection and transmission of sensor data storage management.This paper outlines the history and current status of the development of smarttransmitters, based on a chemical company in the context of practical projects, acombination of the chemical industry in its production and operation managementsystem construction of the actual functional requirements of the original part of aModbus RTU and RS232bus instrument for protocol conversion, and to design amodern one based smart transmitter ZigBee wireless communication technology, datawere centralized to the system via GPRS remote master. It can not only completereal-time field data collection industry, and can be completed remotely transmit datacollection, and intelligence and network development direction in the future willbecome the two major industrial fields of information systems. This paper first describes the overall design of smart transmitter’s ideas,embedded hardware and software design solutions. Subsequently, detailed descriptionof the various functional circuit design and hardware implementation, and analysis ofdesign methods ZigBee, GPRS protocol. Finally, the detailed design.NET PC softwaresystem based on implementation. End of the article gives a typical case of modernsmart transmitters in small and medium chemical applications, reflects the value of theproduct.
