With the wide application of glass curtain wall, the gondola as a curtain wall cleaning equipment is becoming more and more popular in the real life.It is a aerial work platform,safety is the focus of its concern. Gondola status monitoring during operation is essential,especially the wire rope as the lift carrier carrying facilities is particularly important. Industry scene is complex. Sometimes wire layout is not permitted. Sometimes monitoring points are too far from each other. A design approach which combines ZigBee wireless technology and virtual instruments is introduced. It can fit for the requirement. And a data acquisition system based on ZigBee technology has been developed.This paper introduce the research background,analyze the development of domestic and international situation, the purpose and the significance of it. This paper firstly analyzes some wireless communication technologies such as Wi-Fi, GSM/GPRS, Bluetooth, IrDA and etc. Then it concludes that ZigBee has many merits, which are simple protocol, low cost, low power consumption, and organizing network easily. ZigBee fit for wireless data acquisition system very much. A simple introduction to the ZigBee protocol architecture at the same time.This project after reading a lot of literatures, analysis using the results of previous studies, the project design to carry on the research analysis.This paper has researched the basic principle of the detection of the wire rope and the leakage magnetic field characteristics,and the field structure of sensor is designed in accordance with the principles of the electromagnetic detection.By experimental testing,we verified the excitation capability of the excitation structure.The detection devices of sensor choose Hall element,to detect leakage magnetic field of the wire rope damage,and determined the Hall element arrangement and the arrangement number according to the actual needs.,then designed the early signal processin system.In this paper, ZigBee network simulation platform based on NS2software is set up successfully. According to the actual project characteristic,we made some corresponding improment of routing protocols.At first the project control RREQ broadcast, For ZigBee network AODVjr algorithm cost high energy, and is likely to cause premature death node, this paper proposes an improved M-AOMDVjr algorithm, it can avoid the possibilities that some crucial nodes or nodes of low energy lose the effect to produce some results that the path is out of date and what is more all the network does not work entirely. The tree in the routing algorithm, aimed at the problems into the neighbor table is proposed on the basis of the node energy based on the perception of ZigBee tree routing algorithm. This algorithm takes the remaining energy of nodes and neighbor nodes into account, chooses the path of minimum routing overhead, avoids low energy nodes and saves the overall energy of the network. The autor designed the program in microcontroller. Also how to apply ZigBee stack in wireless data acquisition platform is given as well as workflow and function of each node.The other part of program is about communication between microcontroller, sensors and PC. The system use VC to deal data in PC. It has realized the data analysis, storage, output and alarm based on friendly human-computer interfaces.
