Design And Realization Of Remote Monitoring System Based On ZigBee And ARM

With the development of the times,people have concerned the quality of life muchmore.Which prompted the development of intelligent home. Currently, the smart home hasbeen widely accepted by people, and slowly rise in people’s lives. In the current smart homesystems, the central processing platform is mainly divided into two types,and that is set-topboxes or home computers. But with the gradual networked of embedded devices, smart homeappears to access the network directly with embedded devices not PC.Therefore, this designchooses embedded devices ARM9as the control center of the system.ZigBee technology has characteristics of low cost, low power consumption, strongnetworking capabilities and so on,and provides a way for local networking of smart homesystems. The system makes various sensors, actuators form a wireless network by usingZigBee technology.Which circumvent the shortcomings of the past wired networking.Thecontrol center of the system uses ARM9as hardware platform,on which build Web server Boaand Which is based on operating system of Linux. And the control center communicate withZigBee network through the serial port.As a result,it ultimately achieve a remote monitoringsystem based on B/S architecture on smart home.In this design, the Chipcon’s CC2430are used as ZigBee networking modules,andSamsung’s S3C2440is used as the main processor of ARM9.The paper describes theprinciples of remote monitoring system based on ZigBee and ARM,and describes the overalldesign of the system and related technologie. Especially,this design uses the technology ofAJAX to achieve refreshing sensors data for speed up the server’s response. In addition, inorder to achieve the control for electrical appliances,it uses CGI interface to process theform.This design’s Hardware circuits and software implementation are used the idea ofmodularization,so it has a clear layer and improves the efficiency.The test results show that this system can achieve the desired function.That is it cancharge whether the user is authenticated,and Determine if you can log on the main page;ItShows you room temperature conditions,and you can adjust or set the temperature; It Showsyou room humidity conditions,and you can adjust the humidity;It can show you if someonetake activies in the room;It can show you the voltage value of ZigBee terminal node;You canOpen or close the Water heater in the bathroom remotely;It can Display whether the kitchensmoke concentration is exceeded. Therefore, this system has a certain application value.
