Rockfill dam with a clay core is one of the most widely used in dam constructionprojects all over the world and is the fastest growing type of dam. In the clay corerockfill dam hydropower construction projects, rolling construction is a veryimportant part. The degree of compaction is an important indicator of rollingconstruction. The dam filler moisture content is an important factor affecting thedegree of compaction. The moisture content of fill too high or too low, will directlyaffect the degree of compaction. To precisely control the amount of water oftransporter vehicles to the dam that can ensure optimum moisture content of the filler,thereby increasing the degree of compaction in rolling construction, thus ensuringthe quality of the dam. In addition, the rolling construction fillers more categories,each material to optimum moisture content requirements vary, so controlling theamount of water added value becomes more important.Previous clay core rockfill dam controlling the amount of water by artificialqualitative judgment, using of the way of main dam outside and auxiliary damsurface watering to control the water content of the filler, the lack of objective data,rolling dam construction is inadequately grasp from macro to micro. To solve theabove problems, in order to ensure optimum moisture content of transporter vehicles,to avoid errors manually operated, designed and implemented a set of all-weather,long-range, automatic water control system, which integrates RFID technology,automatic control technology and wireless communications technology, mainly forthe quantitative control of the car by the material and the car watered in the damoutside to achieve fine control, quantitative analysis, to ensure that material moistureof dam transporter vehicles to meet the requirements of the standard setting.Automatic water control system according to the needs of the water-relatedbusiness processes into three subsystems: the scene client systems, server systems,browser client systems. Three subsystems focusing on different emphases,coordinately, orderly completion of the automatic water flow control. The sceneclient system is responsible for data collection, transmission and equipmentoperation. Server system is responsible for receives of data, analysis, early warningof abnormal data. The browser client system provides an inquiries, statistics, analysisand system configuration settings information. In this paper, design andimplementation of each subsystem were introduced in accordance with this logic, and gives a list of test cases for each subsystem, while according to the specific useof automatic water control system proposes system improvements opinions andmethods. The System has been put into trial operation.The trial operation resultsshows that the system can effectively carry out precise control to the amount ofwater to meet the design requirements of the system, in use, reducing the cost ofinputs, increase the degree of compaction rolling construction, to ensure the claycore rockfill dam construction quality.
