After the Three Gorges Dam completed, the environmental security in this area is gradually important, especially the river shape and bed deformation of the Yangtze River will change greatly, and water quality will also change, which influence ecological environment of the Yangtze River Basin badly. As a new observation and protection product, the water-quality observation system is more and more paid attention. But China's current water quality monitoring system is not so advanced in the application of automation and information technology. And most devices in use now are using artificial methods that will spend more time to draw the result. Especially meeting the scattered position in certain area, how to complete transmission and high fusion of the scattered data is a difficulty in current monitoring system. Because of this, this paper presents the Three Gorges Dam area water monitoring modem based on Internet and Wireless transmission technology, and carry out the research and design.The paper designed the water quality monitoring scheme of the large-scale area based on computer networks and wireless transmission, using Web technology achieved the open design of the Three Gorges reservoir water environment monitoring system, which had an in-depth study on the optimization of monitoring sites, the forecast of water environment, the data's safe transmission, the water information browse and distribution, the analysis and evaluation of river water. The system was clewed by data stream. The paper researched technical characteristics of the data collected system, and selected based on the RS-232 serial line and wireless communications technology to complete the data acquisition. Judging from previous experience, for the noise which was brought in the system during the sampling, the paper designed the filter to resolve the problem and made the monitoring data more actually. In addition, it carried out a study on simulation forecast for the river domain, and made preparations in advance to water pollution. The transmission modem was designed to considering how to guarantee data reliable transfer in a large-scale area and to design data format. When the data run to management department, they would be stored and statistic the flowed data. The paper imported Fuzzy Cluster method to analyze the pollution factor in river water, and imported Fuzzy set theory to evaluate and analyze. The method put data fusion on a huge universe of scattered monitoring data. It discovered hidden information from the monitoring data through a computational example, and offered a decision reference for supervision and management of the reservoir water environment.The paper gave a summarization in last section, and brought forward some point that could be improved and the direction of the system development.
