Research On Inventory Simulation Of Impulse Supply Chain Based On Controllable Lead Time

In the age of E-commerce, many enterprises demands has the character ofImpulse: When there have promotion activities such as a discount, group purchase orsome festivals, the demands increased in a short period of time, and the order quantity appearlarger fluctuation, this demand surge in a short time known as impulse phenomenon in thispaper, and we called the corresponding supply chain system as Impulse supply chain. Atpresent, the E-commerce supply chains ability to meet the impulse demand are insufficientand cause a series of problems, so their inventory strategy need further study.The research object of this paper is the two level impulse supply chain which consistedof single manufacturer and single retailer. Based on the previous researchies on supplychain inventory and inventory system simulation, and started from the overall interests of thesupply chain system, we taked maximum supply chain profit as the objective, and use theSystem dynamics simulation software—Vensim PLE as the modeling platform to buildimpulse supply chain model. In the paper, we set the market demands as single-impulseand multi-impulse respectively, and mainly used the manufacturer and retailer’s lead time ascontrol variables to do model simulation. By analyzed the Simulation result datas aboutthe impulse supply chain’s profit, inventory and other factors in different leadtime strategies, the main conclusions of this paper are as follows：in the single-impulse andmulti-impulse supply chain, the supply chain’s profit under controllable retailer lead time ishigher than that of normal lead time and random lead time, and with the shoter of retailer leadtime, profits are first increased then decreased; When the manufacturer and the retailer’s leadtime all controllable, the whole supply chain profit higher than the normal lead time andrandom lead time; In the supply chain, the manufacturer’s profit space will affect the wholesupply chain’s benefits.
