Along with our country gradually relax the limitation to foreign capital entering,foreign large chain enterprises access in China and continue to expand the scale, thedomestic retail enterprises depend on the advantages of familiar with domesticconsumers’ value perception and purchase behavior, and with the favorable policysupport, the regional or national scale expansion accelerate. Foreign expansion isceaseless aggravate domestic supermarket industry competition, the domestic chainsupermarket enterprise is confronted with hitherto unknown competition for marketshare. However, in this contention process local chain enterprise is in inferior positionapparently, the direct embodiment is the higher inventory holding cost. Inventorymanagement did not get enough attention, which in cannot control the inventory in areasonable level while more branches constantly open. Inventory takes lots of funds thatlead company capital turnover rate to reduce, which inevitable effect the entire firm inthe industry’s competitiveness. In view of this, control of inventory management iscrucial to the supermarket chain.By using the method of system dynamics to research on inventory managementsystem for supermarket chain, the object of research is the enterprise’s inventorymanagement system, through choose a logistics distribution center and threesupermarket stores mode as a representative to establish the simulation model ofinventory management system, and then conduct dynamic simulation. Through thesystem simulation analysis and testing the results under different conditions, thenoptimize the system and obtain an more effective inventory management scheme.In this paper, firstly, summarize inventory and inventory management theory andmainly introduces the present chain enterprises’ inventory management strategyinvolved in, then systematically introduces the method of system dynamics theory andmodeling steps, and then analyzed the characteristics of chain operation and thesupermarket inventory management mode. Application of system dynamics model forchain supermarket inventory management system to carry on the simulation analysis,combined with the supermarket chain suppliers, distribution centers, customers’ theactual situation, using the system dynamics software Vensim from shallow to deep toestablish model, then using mathematical equations for systems in the various factorsvariables were defined by different factors, variables in the set test model whether effective, then carries on the optimization to the real and effective, the final model ofreality simulation. According to the supermarket’s real operating data, through thesoftware Vensim and set different parameters variables on the model simulation test, andanalyze the test results, finally, put forward a relational suggestion to chain supermarketinventory management strategy.Through this article to the supermarket inventorymanagement research analysis of chain enterprise inventory, can have certain referenceand guidance.
