With the rapid development of barcode identification technology and the community’sconstant emphasis on product quality, inkjet printer products have been applied to all placesof social production and life. But now main products on the domestic inkjet printer marketare still with the single chip microcomputer as the core. They have simple features,and cannot satisfy the requirements of production line today. With the development of processorsand embedded technology, combining with traditional inkjet printer systems is undoubtedlya new idea for the further development of inkjet printer industry. This article decribes amethod of developing bottom software system based on the ARM9platform and embeddedWinCE operating system to achieve the purpose of onboard system. The main point isboard support package development supported operating system based on inkjet printercontrol platform,and then build the system image we need.Firstly, this paper introduces the topic of research background, current condition ofinkjet printer industry and development trend. Then it simply illustrates overall platformframe and operating system selection, analyzes advantages of the finally chosen WinCE5.0system,describes system development, cross-compiler environment establishment.Next, according to the inkjet printer hardware platform with S3C2440A CPU, it isintroduced that the development of BSP based on Windows CE5.0embedded operatingsystem.Transplantations of bootloader, OAL, configuration files are stated in detail byusing the thought of code reuse after analyzing the frame construction of BSP. In addition,the implementation approach that how to divide the kernel image into a few pieces on thebasis of BINFS and multi-bin is described, greatly enhance the system boot speed, increasethe available memory of the system.Meanwhile, the inkjet printer platform has theopportunity to run large-scale printing software.At last, on the basis of complete BSP in front, selecting system components that theinkjet printer platform required, and configuring environment variables, operating systemimage file can be built. Additionally, in order to support the upper application development,the software development kit should also be exported.
