With the development of CAD technology, large-format color inkjet printer has been increasingly widely used. It becomes clear that the prospect of large-format inkjet printer depends on its high speed, high accuracy, high resolution and high reliability.By analyzing working principle and system construction of large-format inkjet printer, the paper makes researches individually on working principle and driving methods of both thermal nozzles and piezoelectric nozzles. Aiming at piezoelectric nozzles of self-researched large-format color inkjet printer, the paper proposes a new control solution of nozzles'driving and a new method of driving parallel multi-nozzles which can obviously heighten the printing speed. For the long distance of data transmission and the requirement of high speed, stability and reliability, the paper also adopts differential technique which is suitable to remote data transmission, and applies time-divided technique to share data lines for multi-nozzles in order to improve utilization ratio of cable and low the failure rate.The paper discusses the design scheme and realization in detail on driving control circuit of nozzles and each functional module which is based on FPGA. With FPGA technique to design sequential logic, the reliability is increased and the debugging becomes easy. The actual result shows that the driving control circuit of nozzles designed in this paper totally meets the self-researched large-format color inkjet printer's requirement.In order to improve data-transmission speed, low the cost, heighten the reliability, the paper finally puts forward a new remote data-transmission scheme with high speed, and proves its feasibility by experiments, which makes a basis study for the next generation of large-format color inkjet printer in higher speed.
