Electronic inkjet print technology is attracting more and more attention as the most promising printed electronic technology. Printed electronics inkjet printing’s key technology is the development of conductive ink and the match between ink and nozzle. The inkjet detection system uses the computer vision technology to study the match between ink and nozzle.In this paper, the droplet detection is based on video sequences. First, preprocess the image obtained from the cameras. Reduce noise; increase the contrast of the ink droplet with the background using the histogram equalization method; achieve a consistent image brightness of each frame in different inkjet frequency by adjusting the current LED exposure. Second, use background subtraction method for the extraction of the target droplet. Use the Gaussian model to model the background model and the new frame and background subtraction is the target droplet. Third, use the region growing method to extract the ink drop zone and then use the image morphology corrosion, expansion and closing operation to improve the image quality. This article further study droplet speed and weight the two most important parameters to measure the ink jet performance measurement.The system can accurately extract droplet, measured data satisfy requirements, the match between ink and nozzle can well be reflected. The system has been successfully applied in Kunshan Kshisense Electronics Co., printed electronic inkjet printers.
