With economic globalization and fiercer domestic and foreign competition, printingindustry has been suffering from fiercer competition. Currently, in order to remaininvincible, printing and packaging industries have to enjoy continuous progress anddevelopment. Meanwhile, in order to boost better development, enterprises have to own aninformationalized, automated and modern management model. Thus, it is imperative for theprinting industry to adopt a scientific and modern system for corporate management.With constant development of the company, the competition among the same industryalso becomes fiercer. Owing to constant refinement and adjustment of product mix, higherdemand for products as well as greater informationization degree of equipment, enterpriseshave to enhance their productivity with high efficiency and high quality, enhancing theircompetitiveness, so as to achieve a market share in the fierce competition. It is necessary toown a set of solutions that can be used to enhance ability in production management andwork efficiency so as to improve the company’s productivity. Therefore, productionmanagement information system emerges as the times require.In accordance with the characteristics of TY Printing Company, by means of empiricalinvestigation and analysis, normative theoretical analysis and literature review, the authorsorts out those theories about information system,ERP,production management and leanproduction, analyzing the current production management procedures and existingproblems, and putting forward corresponding solutions, pointing out the necessities ofconstructing a production management information system, a clear analysis of the demandfor production management information system construction detailing the overall schemeof the system design, specific embodiments (including basic information management,production management systems, quality systems management, equipment managementsystem of four parts), design and system security program code and database, and finallyfor the program proposed implementation of conditions and safeguards. By means of thissystem, enterprises can not only understand the manufacturing schedule and optimize theirproduction schedule, but also understand the comprehensive information, such as theperformance of employees, the usage of facilities as well as the quantity of products.Moreover, based on this system, the decision-making level can achieve accurate and effective data, making quick response to market demand, enhancing the operationalefficiency and reducing production costs, so as to maximize enterprise’s benefits.
