Along with social becoming all information based society development, thedevelopment and applications of the hospital information system are gradually becominghot point in the trade. Outpatient register and charge system has an indispensable part ofthe current traditional profession information. The hospital information system is basedon the computer platform, network and database. The hospital digitization managementalready was the social development needs, also was the hospital managementdevelopment tendency. Using the hospital information system, we can improve themanagement, improve the quality and make efficiency etc. A hospital information systemcan not only release labour intensity of conational workers, but also be used asassistances of hospital management, and can improve work efficiency of hospitals. So itcan make hospitals gain better economic and social benefits.The tendency of Hospital information system develop from the architecture ofClient and Server to the architecture of Browser and Server. So we study the directionofthe hospital management system base on the architecture of Browser and Server.Starting with hospital information system, base on the architecture of Browser andServer development, we analyze the entire developing course in this paper, and alsodiscussed the technologies interrelated. According to the demand of information-basedwork about internal hospital, we combine Caché database system with TrakCare todevelop the Hospital Information System. The Author introduce that completeingrequirement analysis (such as functional requirements and information requirements, etc),follow the HL7Medical Information Exchange Protocol based in accordance withInternational Organization for Standardization; instantiate on the medical data intomultidimensional model using Caché database based on M language is requeired torepresent multidimensional medical data model; development processes in accordancewith the TrakCare development; make the development more flexible to meet the systemflow; B/S flow guarante data dynamic application and expansivity and used to promoteplasticity of the the Hospital Information System.At last, we summarize and put forwardthe chance and challenge of the Hospital Information System.
