Curricula Manage System(CMS), also known as Learning ManageSystem(LMS), or Contents Manage System(CMS) is a kind of computer softwaresystem which can manage learning resource, users, learning tools and so on, in somecases, CMS was used in teaching manage and even administrative manage. There are too much CMS around the world. All the CMS can be divided intothree types, the first type is commercial CMS, such as WebCT, Blackboard, et al. thesecond type is open source CMS, such as Moodle, Sakai, Empire Software, and so on,the last type is CMS which developed by some universities or organizations anddeployed within their own campuses. In China, CMS can be simply divided into twotypes: CMS developed in native language and CMS developed in other language. There exits some difficulties for Chinese users to take use of CMS developed innon-Chinese language, the most difficulty problem troubled Chinese users islocalization, for example, how to translation, how to customize the interface, navigation to fit Chinese favorite, and so on. Too many foreign CMS faces thisproblem when it is used in China, Chinese users have to make efforts to customization, but, these efforts are not easy compare to develop a new one.As for CMS developed in Chinese, there are also some other problems when thisCMS is applied in some schools which have very special purposes, for example, occupation university which needs much more vocation training, but current CMS ishard to fit these purposes. Further more, many current CMS are lack of cooperationand communication, and the role of people both teacher and student is not emphasized. These deficiencies restrict current CMS out of schools which have unique featuresand needs to be get rid of.Owe to issues listed above, based on CSCW this study has developed a CMSwhich consists of too much functions of cooperation, communication, and focus onpeople both teacher and student not contents or resources, in addition, this study hasshed light on vocation training which made this CMS can fit the demand of somespecial school such as occupation university. Many features include cooperation, coordination, communication, people-first orientation and vocation training purposemake this study is unique in some degree, and make this study is meaningful and veryuseful for some college which have especial education purpose. The occurrence and widely use of CSCW are tightly relevant to computer andcomputer network, CSCW focus on facilitating people to work collaboratively byusing computer, computer network, communication network, and so on. Cooperation, coordination and communication are the main three elements of CSCW. Based on thefruit of CSCW, this paper developed a curriculum management system by using thedeveloping method of CSCW. Furthermore, This paper tried to renovate in at leasttwo fields, first, this paper focus on users much more than content, all is for users is one of feature of this paper, this paper had considered elaborately the needs and rightsof teachers and students, there are too many modules to facilitate the use of teachersand students; second, this paper had take a orientation of occupation college for use, that is, this paper focus on practicing and experiment in some school such asoccupation college, which makes the CMS developed by this study is moreconvenient to schools which have a mainly purpose to cultivate students’ job training. In conclusion, this paper has developed a CMS which is particularly fit to thepurpose of Occupation College, and focus on users many much more than content, further, this paper based on the principles of CSCW to achieve the goals mentionedabove. All these futures made this study meaningful and fits the needs of ourcountry’s strategy of developing occupation education.
