The topic of this thesis is "people--oriented"of news. It is mainly carried on in the following five aspects: First, the topic introduces how to understand and define the concept of "people—oriented". It regards audience as the basis, emphasizes to meet their demands and safeguard their interests. However, the content of this thesis is not limited on audience. It also includes the discussion on the society activity, the healthy and normal operation of the whole society, and the people's responsibility in society. Second, the concrete emanifestation of "people oriented " is expatiated. The exposition mainly goes on from four aspects: the choice of the subject matter of the report, the choice of the angle of the report, the innovation of the form of the text, and the change of theexpression way. Third, the main reasons that form "people oriented " is analyzed. The main reasons are as follows: the return of news communication principle; the more democratic politics environment and the more exoteric society; The news media's management follows market principle; The news communications communication function and propagandistic function require strengthening audience consciousness and society responsibility at the same time. Fourth, the value of practice of "people oriented " is expatiated. Its value is multi-level, and it mainly emphasizes on the following four aspects: the impact on the communication of news, the impact on the whole process of communication, the impact on social operation, and the impact on people's development in an all-round way. Fifth, analyzing several relations, which need dealing with in order to realize "people oriented " news in our country. For example, the relations among propagandistic policy, universal laws of news, and universal laws of market; the relations between " the content is king" and the partisanship of news; the relations among supervision by public opinion, direction of public opinion and the media interests; the relations between the audiences paramountcy and the orders of superior; the relations between economic benefit and media personal integrity.
