Great social development is always accompanied by ever-changing technology.Since the beginning of this century, automation in various fields has been constantlyimproved. In manufacturing industry, construction industry and logistics industry,many kinds of large-scale automation equipment are widely used.Among which,hoisting and conveying machinery have a large proportion in the equipment market.Due to the features of complexity and large scale, hoisting and conveyingmachinery’s accident always result in extremely serious consequence. So the safetyproblem can not be ignored. In addition to the scientific, effective managementsystem and the standard, strict operation, some auxiliary equipments are also neededto help managers to access the real-time running status of machinery. The gradualapplication of many types of security monitoring system in hoisting and conveyingmachinery can provide real-time operation parameters of hoisting and conveyingmachinery, which can reflect the machinery being whether in normal state or not. Thedevelopment of video monitoring will provide richer means for hoisting andconveying machinery’s safety supervision, provide more intuitive image informationto managers on the basis of data analysis and play an effective regulatory role onmachinery’s running condition and worker’s operation condition during the keyperiod.On the other hand, the rapid developments of network communicationtechnology, embedded technology and streaming media technology promote a morewidely used, more reliable and more powerful video surveillance system.Increasingly frequent access to the network video surveillance application in people’sdaily life and work is becoming a reality. Problems of high cost and difficultmaintenance, due to the laying of a large number of video cables in traditionalmonitoring system, can also be solved by Remote video monitoring system based onnetwork-Transmission. The system meets the modern enterprise’sdemand for inter-regional video surveillance and makes the acquisition means ofvideo image more and more convenient, more and more rich. Relevant safety management personnel can also be replaced by remote video monitoring system onreal-time monitoring.It liberates people from dangerous environment for free, and implementsmonitoring in the unattended time. Compared with the local monitoring system,remote monitoring system can realize the management of multiple video data andfurther improvement of work efficiency.The main research work of this dissertation can be summarized as the followingaspects:(1)Basic theory and technical measures about video monitoring systemapplicated in hoisting machinery are elaborated.(2)Video monitoring system is functionnal classificated and designed.(3)Overall architecture and software function of remote video monitoring systemare studied, key technologies applied in the system are described in detail andmethods of video data coding and network transmission are analyzed and compared.In addition, H.264coding algorithm applied in TMS320DM642is explained. In theexisting conditions, the auther chooses technologies and completes the system designof architecture and functions, according to analysis of the present situation and thebusiness needs of video monitoring.
