Guangdong provincecontinues to play such a role as the engine for Chinese economic development andregional coordinated development has also been the highlight in southern Chinaeconomic zone. Under this circumstance, economic news gradually comes to be thefocus of local audience, while the media is devoting great effort to grabbing theguidance of public opinion of the economic news. An in-depth comparative researchinto the gradient development of the economic reports in Communist Party newspapercan better provide the panorama of the present status of the economic reports inCommunist Party newspaper in various stages of development, besides, it alsoestablishes a theoretical guideline for increasing the power of the economic news inguiding the public opinion.This paper starts with comparing the economic reports in Communist Partynewspaper in the three provinces (Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan) around NorthernGulf area, and samples for analysis are collected from the economic reports throughthe whole year of2013. The related data is going to be analyzed from the perspectiveof the medium ecological environment of the three provincial Communist Partynewspaper, the amount of the economic reports, the source of the news, the timelinessof the reports, the layout settings, etc. Qualitative analysis and interviews for the pressemployees are applied for the attempts to present the current situation and existedproblems in the economic reports of the provincial Party newspapers around theNorthern Gulf area to explore the reasonable approaches for the provincial Partynewspaper upgrading road in the future.In the foundation of the analysis of relevant data and the basic status ofprovincial Party newspaper economic clarity around Beibu Gulf area, combined withthe requirements of the development of newspaper industry era of the new era, fromthe system, business operation, the layout, the concept of reports, a full range ofoptimized economic reports organization structure and management mechanism, the author expands economic reports source, enhance economic report layout, adhere toeconomic reports of pluralistic perspective, adhere to economic field reports balanceof major international and domestic news reports, adhere to the localization of readingdirection, enhance economic report timeliness, authority, set up incentive mechanism,to improve the training and the introduction of economic news reporters and so oneight aspects, expecting to provide the theory and business practice for China eachdevelopment stage, the economic reports can learn from the evolution of ideas andpractices.
