In recent years, the entire northern China was filled by haze, China faces severe bad ecological situation. The base ecological function is declining, and the ability to resist natural disasters is weakening. At the same time, the range of ecological deterioration is expanding. Long-standing lack of investment in environmental protection and construction, is an important factor in causing the deterioration of the ecological environment. But in recent years, the Chinese government has gradually begun to pay attention to ecological and environmental problems, related laws and regulations are also ready. The Department of Biology, Peking University also actively involved in research related to the environment. They urgently needs an ecological data analysis system, so that’s why this system is designed and developed. The system collects china’s ecological observations data, these data can help researchers to do some research on ecology, the research results can help to build ecological protection areas, rescue endangered species. On the one hand, system provides strong scientific support for China’s future ecological and environmental protection, on the other hand, it can help to attract public attention to ecological protection. The system architecture is based on framework ssh2(struts2, spring, hibernate), using database db2, IBM InfoSphere Warehouse and R was used for the data mining module. The author is responsible for the design and development of the entire system background. The author provided a powerful system background and database support for the Department of Biology, Peking University. The system not only helps them to collect ecological data, but also helps them to mining the collected data. Scientists made a lot of valuable scientific research with the system.
