The ecological environment is the material basis for human life, but along with social progress and the development of technology, human damage to the ecological environment more seriously. Therefore, we must pay great attention to the changes of the regional ecological environment quality, make the evaluation of the ecological environment and walk to the road of sustainable development.Vegetation cover is an important component of environmental factors, and is also the best indication to reflect the regional ecological environment. The previous studies on the evaluation of vegetation ecological environment are not a lot. The traditional ecological environment research method can't make full and timely reflection to the vegetation ecological environment, and also unable to meet the demands of actual work. This paper fully utilized the advantages of remote sensing, extracted the key factor of vegetation ecological environment in the remote sensing image, and established the vegetation ecological environment quality evaluation model using the mathematic method. It solved all problems in the past well.This paper used a new idea of uniting the remote sensing and the evaluation of vegetation ecological environment quality through analyzing the research actuality of vegetation remote sensing inspection and ecological environment quality inspection at home and abroad. Researched the key factor of vegetation ecological environment, including vegetation cover, hydrothermal conditions, soil and landform, and discussed how to directly extract the corresponding information in the remote sensing image. Summarized the characteristic of traditional ecological environment research method, and used a new handy method fitted vegetation ecological environment research: integrative index method based linear regression. Using the integrative index method based linear regression and the traditional principal component analysis method, performed the experiment on a part of QingJiang river region twice. Using the experiment result, detailedly evaluated the vegetation ecological environment quality of the experiment region. At last, based the experiment, programmed a primary system of regional vegetation ecological environment quality evaluation.This paper will promote the vegetation ecological environment quality evaluation be mature, and offer the scientific basis to the environment management and decision-making by government departments at all levels, also have important practical significance for developing a regional strategy for sustainable development.
