Meter Reading Concentrator Software Design And Implementation Based On Linux

With the advancement of technology and the development of technology,residents have rapid growth in electricity consumption. Existing manual meterreading and automatic meter reading systems have drawbacks; it is difficult toachieve real-time monitoring of meter data users, unable to meet the information needsof the power industry reform. After researching and analyzing the reading systemthrough the development of domestic and foreign-related technology, there is designed aLinux-based software of centralized remote meter reading system, which is designed tocombine the embedded technology, ACE framework technology and relatedcommunications technologies. By combining the technical，the concentrator completedto upload and download the assigned functions in automated meter reading system, toachieve a response to the central management station concentrator commands, dataupload and to collection, storage and forwarding meter data and other related tasks. Thisthesis focused on the function of the demand and made a comprehensive implementationstudy and discussion, to achieve a concentrator’s software based on Linux.At first, this paper introduces the background and significance of remote meter readingsystem development status at home and abroad. And secondly, the structure of automaticmeter reading system and the function of each part is presented, also the concentratorstructure and its functional requirements of the software system has carried on thecomprehensive analysis and discussion. Then, this paper summarizes the concentrator’shardware and software development platform and ACE framework.Then made a detaileddescription on the specific features of the software system ’s three functional moduleslocal communication modules, remote communication module and data managementmodule, but also analyzing the implementation process and the child thread of themodules. Finally, the communication data of concentrator software system frame isanalyzed, and debugging of the main functions of the concentrator.
