With the development of People’s living standard,ammeters,water gauges,gasmeters,heat energy meters have been emerging in larging scale in daily life,leadingto a great increase in the working amount of metering.The traditional artificial meteringis not going to meet the need of modem Management due to its various defects.Automatic meter reading system because of its high efficiency, small error rate, etccame into being, it not only can replace the tedious manual labor, more to be able toprovide more quality services to the foundation.This issue is a remote meter reading for the power industry needs a completeproduct for remote meter reading. Analysis of the characteristics of the ARM embeddedplatform, combined with serial communication under Linux, using embedded databasetechnology, given the relevant data flow concentrator design. The use of object-orientedthinking and modeling, and gives a focus concentrator module implementations, andultimately a complete ARM9-based embedded Linux and remote meter readingconcentrator.The software has been used.From the actual application result,it can run stably andreliably,Implement the effect anticipative.
