The Role Of Museums In The Construction Of National Education

With the development of society, more and more people enter in museum toabsorb cultural knowledge. As a resource and position for national education,museum plays a very important role on education. In addition, the connectionbetween museum and national education is more close when connotation andsignificance of museum education had been gradually expanded. Compared with thedeveloped countries, there are still a lot of problems in Chinese museum educationsince its undertaking started relatively late. Typically like lag of education idea andeducation method, few educational activities carried out, obsolete education effect,particularly little connection with other education departments in participation inthe construction of national education which lead the active participation inconstruction of national education and come into the national education systemgradually become an important development direction of Museum EducationThe object of this thesis is the“Museum education and national education”,mainly referring to the series of educational activities in cooperation and exchangeprocess between museums and primary schools, junior schools. As for the body part,firstly, it introduces the development status of museum education, and then comparesthe differences in education between China and Western museums; Secondly, itanalyzes the exiting problems of education activities of museum in our country；Finally, through the survey of participating in practical activities of Museum ofNational Education, and also according to the advanced experience of European andAmerican museums in this regard, it puts forward counter measures and suggestionsfor these problems: in the process of national education, Chinese museums shouldincrease publicity and take measures to improve its attractiveness, so that more andmore people receive education by the museum. Education departments and schoolsshould actively use museum resources to carry out important educational activities.
