Since the1980s, literary supplements have shown a blooming flourish together with the rising of newspaper. Due to the deep cultural tradition, wide areas and long history it covers, supplement has attracted a large number of loyal readers. Supplement of JinWanBao is widely favored around Tianjin and in north China.Along with the development of the Internet since the21th century, new media continuously impact traditional newspaper, forcing supplement of evening newspaper to reform to face the competition. Take supplement of JinWanBao as an example to conduct research could help understanding the condition of supplement and giving guidance to its future which has practical significance and great value.Through the research of the operation status of supplement of JinWanBao, a conclusion could be made that supplement solids its advantage in long-standing literary and native culture on the one hand, it also actively makes moves to couple with the situation such as market shrinking, loss of readers. It also changes itself to survive, to take new media as its own weapon. Along with the restructuring of newspaper market, the content reform and the expansion of the industry chain, supplement of JinWanBao will regain the attention of the readers and welcome a band new period of development.The author believes that the great wealth of material culture and entertainment in the current era, the literary supplement urgent need to reposition.
