Fire engine plays a significant role in many emergency situations. When a fireoccurs, fire equipment and fire fighters could rushed to the desired area in the shortestpossible time and play an irreplaceable role in fire fighting work by the fire engine.When a major traffic accident is in need of rescue, or when someone is trapped at thetop, when the water is shortage during dry weather, these also need to fire engine therescue. In recent years, with the expansion of the city, the fire intensified, configuremore fire engine fire engine and training more qualified operator should be moreimportant. Using the traditional approach to staff training, especially for expensivehigh-end fire engine, will leads to high training costs, low efficiency, safety and poorrepeatability.The development of computer information technology, especially virtual realitytechnology, provide a new means for the fire engine operation training in virtualenvironment, which can solve many drawbacks exist in the traditional training models.Based on this, we have developed a virtual fire engine training systems.This article will introduce virtual reality technology to fire engine training, themain program developed under VS2010environment; we use3DMax build detailed3D body model; through Fbx file parsing and rendering achieve precise control of fireengine arm movement, through the Flash authoring a friendly user interfaceappearance, high degree of simulation, and achieve a Flash communicate with C++programs; Meanwhile, the use of point to multipoint serial-based communicationprotocol and ARM7-based multi-interface circuit design techniques produce aphysical control panel similar to the real, and complete its control over the fire enginemodel.The virtual training system set up training mode and operation mode of teaching,which is more adapted to the requirements of different levels of students. On thefunction realization, taking JP56-type jet fire engine held high as an example, fromthe "leveling body" to "arm stretch" to "spray fire extinguishing agent" and "otheractions", the system was simulated in accordance with its operating manual.Ultimately produce a set of user-friendly, high fidelity, full functional coverage fire engine virtual training systems. After firefighters experience and feedback, good fireengine training system based on virtual reality technology to build simulation results,with high practicality, suitable for promotional use.
