In recent years, with the rapid development of the shipping industry, ship modernization,intelligent monitoring and management have become a research hotspot. However, the currentresearch on ship monitoring and management at home and abroad mainly focuses on the ashoreadministrative authority to regulate the ships, it is on board that video surveillance andmanagement are relatively small. According to the current situation of waterway transportation,this dissertation by analyzing the demand for marine video surveillance system, proposes theintegration ship video surveillance system combining Wi-Fi wireless networking technology,video compression technology, intrusion detection technology, embedded technology, Web servertechnology. The system is making up of monitoring terminal, Wi-Fi ad-hoc network andmonitoring service software platform. Monitoring terminal uses Samsung Exynos4412quad-corehigh-performance processor whose frequency up to1.5GHz as the controller, overlapping videocameras, intrusion detection sensor and Wi-Fi communication module, whose the softwaresystem based on the Linux development. It achieved the video image of monitoring area captureand intrusion signal detection. The video by H.264compression coding and RTP packagingcontrol is sent to the monitoring service platform access to the Wi-Fi wireless networks, invadingsignal by the terminal process forming alarm message activates alarm mechanism to achieveintrusion alarm function. Monitoring service platform uses Django framework to develop theWeb server, which fulfilled the functions of receiving, displaying and storing the real-time video,replaying the local video, showing and processing the alarm information and so on.This project completed the system hardware and software development, debugging andexperimental results showed that the system has realized the design target of the mainrequirements. This system can be used for ship monitoring and management, such as the shipsafe operation, cargo handling, and security intrusion and so on, which has the great significancefor improving maritime traffic safety, ship information and intelligence.
