The Development And Research Of SOPC Experiment System

SOPC(System On a Programmable Chip) is built on FPGA and NIOS II soft core processor, and it widely used in instrument communication, equipment and instrument, aerospace and aviation, auto-electric, technicians and others. This paper is aimed to research and develop the experiment platform based on SOPC technology. It will be useful in computation of improving the student’s innovation capacity and the teacher’s scientific research.In this paper, the SOPC teaching experiment platform were reviewed in detail from the perspectives of studying and using the sopc technology and experiments development, based on NIOS Ⅱ soft core processor, using the EP2C35FPGA IC chip of the Altera Cyclone series, complete the design of hardware platform and software, and it also includes memory, RS232communication interface circuits, the peripheral circuits and display module. Giving emphasis to expatiate on the function of the system, hardware configuration. In addition, a DDS signal generator is developed on the development board.Finally, through the test and analysis, the fuctions of the experiment platform meet the need of the design, and it has the advantages of simple operation, easy study and full function, etc.
