RS Codec Used On Channel Error-control

Being a powerful class of nonbinary maximum distance separable codes,the familyof Reed-Solomon(RS)codes has been widely used in modern digital communicationsystems and data storage devices.RS code is used as error-correcting code in this wireless data transmission system.The purpose of this thesis is to research how to enchance the reliability and validityof communication by error-control coding with a focus on one kind of channel codecarithmetic and its logic realization ways on hardware. The code stream has beentransferred on the FPGA hardware for the purpose of performance test. on the basis ofthe above research, this thesis extend the fields of the study, including CRC check andinterleaving.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.The basic concepts and development trends of error control and RS codec arebriefly introduced.2.Baced on the programme of the wireless data transmission system, Discussedthe RS codec realization of and FPGA implementation.3.Introduced the hardware platform and hardware structure of RS codecrealization, then the test programs and test results.are presented.
