With the rapid and consistent development of informational technology, people’s needs for the quality of information are growing simultaneously. Error correction coding is one of the important means to improve information transmission reliability and validity, which has gone through decades of history. Meanwhile, it has made a great progress. Nowadays, error correction coding is no longer simply a theoretically-discussed topic; and it has become a standard technology otherwise and is widely used.For the additive Gaussian White noise channel error correction coding techniques, the paper introduced and researched several common error correction coding and decoding algorithm techniques, including convolutional codes, RS codes, Turbo codes and Turbo Product Codes(TPC).The paper also carried out some Matlab simulation and realized the DSP implementation.Firstly, the paper introduced the development of error correction coding of China and abroad, and the significance of the error correction coding.The paper also briefly introduced the DSP(TMS320C6455).Secondly, the paper introduced the convolution codes, RS codes, Turbo codes and codec algorithms TPC codes, and realized the Matlab simulation of the four kinds of error correcting code above, and the process of DSP implementation. Then the paper proposed a new high-rate convolution coding punch based on DSP.Finally, the paper conducted detail performance analysis and comparison of the four error correction coding for floating point and fixed-point simulation performance under additive Gaussian White noise channel.
