The CCTV Young Singer Grand Prix is by far have the greatest scale fortelevision-live, the longest time scope, and also, the largest viewer pool through thewhole television history in China. The CCTV Young Singer Grand Prix Have survivedin the industry for thirty years of ups and downs since it firstly premiered in1984. Onthe other hand, the compere of the competition is also growing toward maturity withthe program. In this television program, guiding audiences through the entirecompetition, comperes acted as bridges among contestants, audiences and judges,which represents the unique musical culture in Young Singers Grand Prix. Under suchcircumstance the level of one’s professional proficiency and strategies one decides toapply will have fundamental influence on the program. As we can also find that themajority of anchors in CCTV at the moment, such as Dong Qing, Zhu Jun and ZhouTao, are all once hosted this national singing competition.The CCTV Young Singer Grand Prix is a competition with several singing types,which includes Folk singing, Operatic singing (Bel Canto), Pop singing and Classicsinging. The CCTV Young Singers Grand Prix, which holds by the central officialassociation, has been attracting majority of audiences. As the top level competition,the contest has the characters of comprehensive scores, authority competition systemand full of cultural content. In order to make to contest perfect, the host of theprogram was asked full of experience therefore the bonding program ad apt to theneeds of the audience, that is not only full of fashion attraction points, but also withthe characteristics of discoursing cultural and interacting humanities.Young Singers Grand Prix, under the impacts of national television regime, rapiddevelopments of digital media technologies and the environment of current industryof television hosting, especially under the strict regulations, such as entertainmentcutback order, issued by State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT),creating more advantageous propagating and developing environment for comperes inthe industry. On the other hand, television live technologies advanced digital mediatechnologies also raised standards for television hosts. Moreover, current televisionhosts have a critical tendency of pan-entertainment, which is the current survivalcondition Grand Prix compere need to cope with at the moment.Overall, the strategies applied in Young Singers Grand Prix complemented theprogram’s overall style; especially strategies such as language control, emotion control and image presenting have also complemented the program’s production andpropagation. However, this Grand Prix hasn’t reached its perfection. It alsoexperiencing flaws like language using somewhat stereotyping,hosting style of younganchors unoriginal and lack of flexibility dealing with emergencies during theprogram.In summary, this essay is based on the analysis of current compere strategies,also combined with existing problems, circulating environment and basic goals of theprogram, in order to extensively optimize the strategies not only from the perspectivesof interview research, atmosphere setup, cultural essence concentration, but also fromthe perspective to guide the contestants to share their experiences as well as hoststhemselves to develop favorable personalities, which will further provide valuableexperiences for other programs’ sustainable development.
