The development of China music TV program began at CCTV Young Singer Competition Show, CCTV Young Singer Competition Show, which held the first tournament in 1984, has been close to thirty years to the fifteenth tournament in 2013. During this period, CCTV Young Singer Competition Show had many times of reforms of format, in order to adapt to the development of the society. And from the stage of this competition show, the group after group of literary and art workers sent many songs for the society, which had full of political and economic significance. To a certain extent, it is to assume the efficiency of the elite culture of the spread and promotion. However, in the present domestic environment of economic globalization, CCTV Young Singer Competition Show has gradually faded out of public view, while The Voice of China just arises at the historic moment.The voice of China can be said as the product of the development of social economy and culture. From its emergence, its body has coerced the swaddling clothes of the industrial capital. From program links, program contents, program operations and other aspects, The Voice of China are closely related to the development and accumulation of material. From the social perspective, the social background between CCTV Young Singer Competition Show and The Voice of China have big difference. At the same time, the two are the embodiment of China’s social development in the music TV program. The two music TV programs in the program content setting and the expression of social connotation has a deep connection. And this is the key point of the analysis and research.The political economy of communication of music gives a new perspective to examine the relationship between music and society. Through music, we are able to perceive flow in the social politics and economy. Listening to the voice, we can comprehend the change of the social ideology and industry capital operation in the global scope.This paper is mainly divided into three parts. The first part is the interpretation and definition of the concept, which is the political economy of communication of music. It describes the relationship between music and political economy, the relationship between communication and political economy, music television’s connotation. It has the solid theoretical basis of the research in the article. CCTV Young Singer Competition Show and The Voice of China are as the typical research objects in the second part. From the comparison in the program and social metaphor connotation of the program, it finds and explores the substantial differences and similarities of this two music programs. The third part is the reflection on the future development path of music television programs. What kind of music is the kind of TV program form the audience need. How about the program adjustment and improvement is the most suitable for the public. Where is the research significance of the political economy of music communication. These questions are worthy of our probe.
