Ouyang Shoudao, the famous psychologists and educators in the Southern Song Dynasty, was called as "Luling Pure Scholar" by his knowledge and morality. He is very honest and upright. He was removed from office because do not flatter the superior. He worked as a teacher in Bailuzhou academy and Yuelu Academy and trained Wen Tianxiang, Liu Chenweng, Deng Guangjian and many other outstanding talents. He was praised as "The Grand Master" by Wen Tianxiang. He also created the Xun Zhai school of thought. His thought and moral integrity has profound influence on the later generations. He wrote a book named Xun Zhai literary works, which described the various problems of social, and embodies his public awareness and education advocate, existence. This paper examines the background of his age, Research on the ideological content and the artistic characteristics of his "Xun Zhai essays. Analysis of his thought, academic school of thought and his influence on later generations. It is helpful to further understand the social conditions of the late Southern Song Dynasty. This thesis is divided into two parts as preface and notes. The preface, discussing the thoughts of Ouyang Shoudao, the content of his works, his concept of poetry, the artistic characteristics and the influence of his works. The notes, take the Wenyuange Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature’ twenty-seven volumes "Xun Zhai literary works " as the original text, according to the Yongle Canon and The complete works of song. Note the work’s allusions, historical facts, difficult words.
