The Study On The Taiwan Newspaper’s Chaos Under The Comprehensive Ban Policy

In1951the Taiwan newspaper under martial law, the entire newspaper market is highly regulated by the government, cannot realize the society calls "press freedom". In1988the Taiwan authorities announced the start of "full effect", the press is facing not under the control of the impact of industry. The newspaper has been folly "press freedom" appeared yellow journalism flooding, homogenization serious, newspaper staff occupation quality decline and so on chaos. Taiwan newspaper did not like the social expectation of healthy and orderly development, but appeared chaos.In the history of Taiwanese newspaper’s background, this thesis analyses the reasons, the development and the impact of the newspaper’s chaos at present. And through analyzing the negative effects of the "comprehensive ban policy", it recommends to promote reform in the newspaper development in both Taiwan and mainland.
